Location: Office based in Ballachulish, open to home working. Regular travel to sites across Scotland and the North of England is essential.

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team and help us continue to grow.

We welcome applications from experienced professionals and are also open to hearing from graduates.

Additional training and support will be provided if required.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver projects and work packages within defined requirements, including safety, quality, programme, functionality and cost.

• Manage projects in line with CDM 2015 regulations.

• Manage multiple sites at once, with training and support provided where needed.

• Supervise engineering staff, evaluating work and providing training so that projects are managed efficiently.

• Identify, monitor and mitigate risks and opportunities.

• Act as Contract Administrator on NEC3/4, FIDIC and bespoke contracts.

• Define, draft and manage subcontract documentation in coordination with other functions and stakeholders, covering scope, specification, drawings, programme, resources, design deliverables, interfaces, constraints, document management, reporting, H&S, quality requirements and as-builts.

• Manage communication with clients and subcontractors across multiple projects, providing engineering and technical support to clients.

• Liaise with the civil design manager and coordinators to keep the flow of design documentation consistent with the programme, the design review process and contract requirements.

• Support the adoption of new ideas and innovations, such as advances in construction technology and materials.

Essential Requirements

• A degree in a relevant field such as engineering, geology or ecology, or at least 10 years' experience working in one of these fields.

• Understanding of CDM regulations and the ability to manage CDM projects.

• Knowledge of Health & Safety, Environmental and Planning regulations.

• Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft 365.

• Experience with CAD software.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical and commercial issues clearly.

• Willingness to work flexibly between the office, home and site, and to travel regularly across Scotland and the North of England.

• Full right to work in the UK.

Desirable

• Chartered membership (or working towards) with a relevant professional body, such as ICE, CIOB, RICS, CICES or IEI.

• Experience managing multiple sites.

• Team management experience.
